As far as I know,There's no written answer to this, I know of some JW's who drifted away, fooled around like crazy and then returned to the flock and nothing happened to them regarding their sins, yet if a JW who still attended meetings did half the things they had done he would be DFed without question. One thing I have learnt is that the Body of Elders are a law to themselves, depending on the BOE and how well you get along with them or maybe you might be related to one of them will depend on how the treat you and your sins. So sucking up to them with help a lot :-)

yo elders, is there a statue of limitations on "sins"?
by ?me? ini know we have heard about it as regards an elder who has "sinned" and keeps it quiet, he does not have to step down.
but when it comes to the lowly rank and file, what would you do, or "have " to do if you found out about some actions of a publisher that occurred a few years ago?
also does a person who leaves the truth and then wants to come back after a number of years have to confess to all the stuff they did when they were out ?

Were you a popular Witness?
by Brigid innever fit in.
never cared to.
most witnesses bored me to absolute tears.

It’s a good question, but hard to answer truthfully, firstly how do we define “popular” in the WTS Congregations.
- There is the type who give answers on every question at every meeting, so some like to stay close to these so as to appear as ‘spiritual’ as they are, these may appear popular to others but really are a pain.
- Then there are those who are “high profile”, maybe related to Elders or C/O etc…again some stay close to these but only to suck up to the elders or C/O.
- Then there are pioneers who don’t stop boosting about it, not all are like that, but the ones who are get some who again support them but only because they are afraid to get on their wrong side.
- There are those are handsome and pretty and think they are God’s gift to the congregation, maybe because they are so good looking or other reasons which I haven’t worked out yet, they get friends because there friends want to be indentifeid in the same light.
I’m sure you can think of more people like this, so I really wonder many many times, these popular ones how really loved were they, did they really have any friends, I noticed that if some of these types left, no one really seemed to missed them. Not being popular in the JW world isn’t a bad thing, it just shows you were a good sincere and honest person. Sorry if I sound like a fruit cake. lol

No More Bound Volumes or CD ROM's - the most exciting news of all....
by AK - Jeff inmary started a thread regarding this matter at;.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/108142/4.ashx.
my first thought was there was no way they dared to do this - that maybe this was a misunderstood rumor of sorts.. on my drive home this evening - it hit me!

i don't beleive it either. I can understand them stoping to print the bound volumes, everyone these days is trying to save paper, plus more and more people are using computers, and the CD is far better then looking up volumes. And i'm sure there was an annocement about 6 mouths ago that the CD will be coming out every year now and not every 2-3 years.

WTS: NO MORE BOUND VOLUMES AFTER THIS YEAR!
by Mary ini just found out today (from my sister) that crooklyn will not be making any more bound volumes of the watchtower or awake magazines after this year------instead, they're all going to be on audio tape only.
she does not have a computer so i generously
i think this could very well be yet another tactic of the gb trying to keep a lid on their "embarassing" quotes of yesterday.

What I meant to say was the regular CD that we are getting now will be available in a yearly edition, I think the audio ones are just a reading of the WT edition mainly needed for the impaired.

"Due to my stong personal convictions, I wish to stress"
by LDH incan anyone finish this sentence and tell when / where it made it's appearance?

...that I will do everything that the GB tells me to do no matter how much sense it doesn’t make or how little I understand it.
And that will prove to you people how spiritual I am !!!!!!!!!

I haven’t read all the replies to this tread, but I don’t think it’s a big deal if they stop printing the bound volumes, even the Britannica has stopped its printed volumes its only on CD now. I did hear an announcement in the KM that CD’s will be available on a yearly edition now, which I believe should make research a lot easier then looking up bound volumes, everyone is trying to save paper these days, but I think its still a good idea to keep the separate Watchtowers editions if possible because if the GB stuff up more then usual then they change it on the CD version before its released.

Question for Ozziepost
by stillajwexelder inso today i was in kansas city shopping for wine and i purchased a bottle of yalumba barossa shiraz (2002 but only because it had a higher robert parker rating than the 2001) and it was $15.99 - just had a glass.
absolutely wonderful.
another ass-kicking wine from south easet australia.. have you had this wine and how did you rate it?
-
The Lone Ranger
I've tried french wines and italain wines but the aussie stuff is still the best, as far as that wine you got the Yalumba Barossa Shiraz, Its a good wine but there are better ones. I perfer a Cab/Sav or a merlot.
